The Tamhini Ghat region around Andharban is one of the greenest, most-photogenic stretches of the Sahyadris. If you're already driving out here, these are the places worth adding to the day or the weekend.

The Tamhini Ghat is arguably the most beautiful monsoon drive in Maharashtra. Between June and September it's a continuous stretch of waterfalls, mist, dense forest, and viewpoints. Even if you never leave your car, it's worth crossing slowly. Best photography stops are near the Devkund turn and the Sunset Point.
Distance from Andharban trailhead: ~20 km.
Devkund is a natural circular waterfall pool at the end of a 3.5-km trek from Bhira village — the same Bhira where the Andharban trek ends. If you're fit and have an extra half-day, you can combine both. Devkund itself is a stunning drop into a clear plunge pool. It's separately ticketed and controlled by the forest department. Do NOT swim without a certified guide — currents can be deadly.
Distance from Andharban: ~10 km.
The Kundalika river runs through this valley below Andharban and is famous for white-water rafting between June and September when Bhira dam releases water in a scheduled morning window. Add-on rafting trips are easy to organise from Kolad village. If you're not into rafting, the valley viewpoints are still worth the drive.
Distance from Andharban end point: right there — Andharban descends toward Bhira.
Bhira dam sits on the Kundalika river and defines the western edge of the Andharban forest. The reservoir is enormous and, on a clear afternoon, the reflected light off the water is spectacular. Great spot to sit for tea and photos before the drive back.
Distance from Pimpri: ~15 km back toward Pune.
The Mulshi backwaters are on the way in from Pune. Long grasslands, calm water, a photogenic dam wall, and dozens of Instagram-famous cafes and homestays around the lake. Perfect for a slow evening if you want to extend the day.
Distance from Andharban: ~35 km via the Tamhini road.
Named for its unusual + shape when seen from above, Plus Valley is a viewpoint on the Sahyadri escarpment with dizzying drop-offs and a favoured spot for adventure photographers. Best in the golden hour after a rain break.
Distance from Andharban: ~60 km — the classic monsoon hill-station combo.
If you want to convert the trek into a proper weekend, stay overnight at Lonavala or Khandala after the trek. Rajmachi trek, Bhushi dam, Tiger's Leap and Lion's Point are all within an hour, and the hotel options are unmatched.
