Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 19 August 2026

By booking the Andharban trek through andharbantrek.org you agree to the terms below. These terms are between you ("Participant") and BanBanjara Travels ("we", "us", "Operator").

1. Booking

Your booking is confirmed only when payment is successfully received via Razorpay. An enquiry submitted through the form without payment is a lead, not a confirmed seat. Seats are limited per batch and allocated first-come, first-served.

2. What's included / not included

See the inclusions and exclusions listed on the trek cost page. Anything not explicitly listed as included is not covered by the trek fee.

3. Cancellation & refund policy

Refunds are handled per the following window, calculated from your batch's start time:

  • More than 7 days before batch: 90% refund.
  • 3–7 days before batch: 50% refund.
  • Less than 3 days before batch: No refund.
  • No-show on batch day: No refund.

Batch cancelled by us: If we cancel a batch for safety reasons (weather warnings, forest closure, landslide activity, unsafe stream levels), you receive a full refund or the option to reschedule to any other batch within 90 days.

4. Participant responsibility

You are responsible for:

  • Being physically fit for a 13-km descending trek of 6–7 hours.
  • Bringing appropriate gear — trek shoes, rain protection, water, personal medicine.
  • Following instructions from Team Captains and the local guide at all times.
  • Truthfully disclosing any medical conditions that may affect your safety on the trail (heart conditions, asthma, recent surgery, pregnancy). We reserve the right to decline participation if the trek is unsafe for you.
  • Carrying a valid photo ID on the trek.

5. Age policy

Minimum age is 8 years, provided the child is accompanied by a parent or guardian and has adequate trekking stamina. Under-18 participants require a signed consent from a parent or guardian.

6. Safety and liability

Trekking involves inherent risks including but not limited to slips, falls, insect bites, wildlife encounters, and weather exposure. By booking, you acknowledge these risks and participate voluntarily. We take reasonable precautions but cannot be held liable for injuries, losses, or damages resulting from participant negligence, undisclosed medical conditions, or acts of nature.

We strongly recommend obtaining personal travel and medical insurance before the trek.

7. Conduct

Participants are expected to respect the forest environment (no littering, no lit cigarettes, no plastic in the forest), fellow trekkers, and local villages. We reserve the right to remove any participant from a batch for behaviour that endangers themselves, others, or the environment. No refund is due in such cases.

8. Photography

We may photograph our batches for promotional use on this website and social media. If you do not consent to being photographed, please inform the Team Captain at the start of the batch.

9. Changes to itinerary

Pickup times, routes, and trail choices may change on the day due to weather or safety considerations. Team Captains have final authority on route decisions.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Pune, Maharashtra.
